Understanding your options
The first time you call Guideway we will work with you to understand your needs and to determine which (if any) of Guideway’s Advice Options is suitable for you. We’ll make sure you receive the appropriate level of support for your situation, from general information or financial coaching to simple or comprehensive personal advice. We’ll then explain what’s involved in the recommended option and how much it costs before you incur a fee.
Financial Coaching
Guideway’s Financial Coaching can help with small things like understanding some aspect of your financial situation through to helping you navigate the financial impact and opportunities associated with major financial milestones (like buying a house or preparing for retirement). Coaching differs to advice in that a coach won’t tell you what they think you should do. Instead, they will equip you with the tools and knowledge you need to help you understand your options. This might be through a single, one to one session for simple topics, or a package of support to help you with more complex matters.
Tailored advice
For tailored advice that considers your situation, needs and objectives, A Guideway Financial Adviser will work with you to build an in-depth understanding of all the information needed to prepare the advice.
Tailored advice on topics like how much or where to invest your super, how much insurance you need or when you can afford to retire, generally costs between $275 and $1650. The tailored option can also include our ‘second opinion’ service for those wishing to maintain their existing advisory relationship, while having the additional the peace of mind of an impartial expert assessment. Advice on more complex topics, like preparing a complete retirement plan, usually costs between $2200 and $5500.
