Guideway About
About Guideway

One Guideway. Three ways we help.

We give personal financial advice, help super funds deliver advice to their members, and provide AFSL licensing and support to financial planners. Each service has its own team and focus, with the same Guideway group behind it.

Start with what you need from us.

Each part of Guideway has its own team, so the quickest way in is to start with the conversation you actually want to have. Tell us that much and we will put you with the right people.

We are based in Melbourne, at 91 William Street, and we work with clients and funds right across Australia. Guideway Financial Services Pty Ltd holds Australian Financial Services Licence and Australian Credit Licence 420367 in its own right — we are not authorised under someone else’s licence, and we do not manufacture a single financial product.

What you can expect from us

A straightforward conversation, a clear next step and time to decide whether it feels right.

A first conversation worth having

It is free, it takes about half an hour, and we spend it listening. By the end of it you will know whether we can help, how we would go about it, and what happens next.

Nothing starts until you say so

If we propose work, you get the scope and a fixed fee in writing first. Nothing is prepared, and nothing is charged, until you have said yes to it.

Meet however suits you

Face to face at our Melbourne office if you would like to, or by video or phone from anywhere in Australia. Neither one is the lesser version.

Questions about Guideway

The things people check before they hand a stranger their financial position.

Is Guideway owned by a bank, a super fund or an insurer?

No. We are not owned by a bank, a super fund or an insurer, and we do not manufacture a financial product of any kind — no fund, no platform, no investment menu.

What licence does Guideway hold?

Guideway Financial Services Pty Ltd, ABN 46 156 498 538, holds Australian Financial Services Licence and Australian Credit Licence 420367 in its own right. It is one number covering both, which is why a practice writing advice and mortgages can sit under a single arrangement. Guideway Wealth Pty Ltd is a corporate authorised representative under that licence, number 422674.

What are the three parts of the group?

Guideway Wealth gives personal financial advice to individuals. Guideway Licensee Services builds and runs member advice for superannuation funds and AFS licensees. The licensing arm authorises financial planners and mortgage brokers to operate under 420367. Same group, same licence, three quite different conversations.

Where is Guideway based?

Level 3, 91 William Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 — Eagle House, in the legal end of the CBD. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, and client meetings are by appointment. We work with clients and funds nationally by video and phone.

Who would I actually be dealing with?

On the advice side, Nareena Aracas leads the Guideway Wealth practice — a Senior Financial Planner, a founding partner, and Authorised Representative no. 398311. A broader team of advisers, paraplanners and compliance reviewers works with her, including Scott Nanfro, Authorised Representative no. 1255832. Meet the adviser team.

How do I make a complaint?

Tell us first — call 1300 138 138, email advice@guideway.com.au, or write to us in Melbourne. Our Financial Services Guide sets out the process and the timeframes. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can take the matter to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority, which we are a member of, and privacy complaints can go to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Not sure which part of Guideway to contact?

That is fine. Tell us what you would like to discuss and we will connect you with the right team.
